Student Opportunity In addition to the tailored services available at WBS, the University of Warwick has an excellent Student Opportunity Team. Student Opportunity enables you to develop a global perspective, become culturally aware, and have confidence in achieving your vision of career success. This is done by supporting you to engage with a rich and varied range of experiences and opportunities, helping you to achieve your full potential. There are several large careers fairs hosted throughout the year. Employers who have been involved in these events previously have included PwC, Deloitte, Barclays, Unilever, Virgin Media, Jaguar Land Rover, Vodafone, the Royal Air Force and Aldi. The Student Opportunity Team also offer innovative ways to gain experience.

Our workshops cover all aspects of the job application process, from creating your CV to preparing for interviews and assessment centres. Tailored sessions, such as ‘Networking your way to success’, ‘Unleashing your potential with Spring weeks’ and ‘Mock Assessment Centres’ can help you to plan your future career and take your next steps. If you would like support with topics such as job applications, improving your self-confidence and self- presentation, exploring your career options, or preparing for interviews and assessment
centres, our 1-2-1 careers appointments with dedicated careers staff can help you, right here at WBS. Our Undergraduate Employer Relations team are also available to further increase your exposure to employers and offer advice when it comes to placement opportunities and internships. They work to develop strong links with employers from a wide range of sectors and locations, both in the UK and internationally, to source fantastic industry placements and summer internships. We organise employer events covering internships, placement years and graduate opportunities, sharing industry insight to develop commercial awareness. We also host employer-led skills workshops and run informal networking sessions. Bespoke employer events for our students at WBS have involved companies such as Accenture, Adobe, Deloitte, JP Morgan, L’Oreal, LVMH, Mercedes AMG, PepsiCo, PwC, RSM, Rund and Vertex Pharmaceuticals providing students with great networking opportunities and links to top local, national and international brands.
