CATHEDRAL SCHOOL FACULTY AND STAFF ON THE MOVE

TOM RANKIN, Instructional Technology Tom Rankin is returning to the role of Instructional Technology Coordinator for the 2021-22 school year. Tom has been part of the Cathedral faculty since 2010, beginning as a technology teacher, and has taught Lower School science since 2017. He has also dedicated many of those years to coaching soccer, basketball, and golf as well as teaching STEM enrichment classes after school at Cathedral. Tom received his BA at Ohio University in 2004 and received his MAT at the University of San Francisco in 2010. Outside of teaching and coaching, he plays guitar and is a performing musician with several current and former Cathedral teachers, and he is also passionate about the outdoors, spending time hiking Bay Area trails and exploring the vast California wilderness. MOVING ON PAUL BERTRAND, 3rd Grade Co-Lead Teacher After more than 25 years at Cathedral, Mr. Bertrand has decided to take a break from the classroom. While at CSB, Mr. Bertrand wore numerous hats— Aftercare Assistant, 2nd and 3rd Grade Teacher, Director of Lower School, and Director of Curriculum.

CORD GREENE, Director of After-School Enrichment Mr. Greene is leaving Cathedral after 5 years as the Director of After-School Enrichment, where he expanded and led the program. We’ll miss his enthusiasm, joy, and go-getter attitude.

LIZ JOHNSON, Kindergarten Co-Lead Teacher After 5 years as the Co-Lead Kindergarten Teacher, Ms. Johnson is taking a break from the classroom to spend more time with her growing family!

JOSH MERRITT, Assistant Athletic Director and Upper School PE Coach Merritt made the tough decision to leave Cathedral after two years serving as the Assistant Athletic Director and an Upper School PE teacher. Among other things, we’ll miss his coaching abilities and his talents during the 8th Grade-Faculty basketball game.
