A. N. Kang reads and writes by the beach in New Jersey. Although she’s never actually seen a squirrel on the beach, her backyard is full of them. Beth’s family tree includes one husband, three children, two bulldogs, one guinea pig, and a groundhog named McFluffers who lives under the shed. She is the author of many picture books including the New York Times bestselling Stick and Stone , illustrated by Tom Lichtenheld. is the author and illustrator of many picture books, including The Very Fluffy Kitty Papillon . She was born in South Korea where she never saw any squirrels. After she moved to New York City, she became obsessed with the friendly squirrels in Central Park and often carried a bag of nuts just in case she met one. Now she lives and works in New Jersey where the squirrels are not as friendly. She still tries to feed them.
