The delight is no less for those receiving the finished product, as we heard from some of our wonderful collectors who have worked with Pascale on their own commission recently. “We were both taken aback when we first saw one of Pascale’s pieces from her Pour le Plaisir collection - we instantly fell in love with the painting and bought it on the spot. "We then explored more of her work and loved it all. We find her paintings very sexy and sensuous; using fashion, clothes, shoes and settings that make you smile and start your heart racing. You know you’ve been in those places, those positions, those settings before and - if you haven’t - you know that you secretly want to. "We have just renovated our bedroom suite and knew that one of Pascale’s pieces would sit perfectly on the walls, so we decided to engage her to paint a private commission, offering her a few suggestions and variations on one of her existing paintings to suit our own setting. Although we provided ideas, we really wanted her to use her own interpretation and expression, and couldn’t wait to see what unique, one-off piece she would create for us.”
CAPTIVATING COMMISSIONS: WHEN PAINTINGS GET PERSONAL
Spending lockdown in her charming home in the south of France, Pascale showed us all that self-isolation and the ‘zero touching’ rule has no power over art. Her work continued to reach out and touch people through the many commission requests she received over summer, carrying her spirit and positivity across postcodes, borders and seas. We spoke to Pascale, and some of her collectors, about why commissions are so powerful and what is so enticing about owning a bespoke piece of art. Pascale explains the method extends far deeper than simply receiving a brief and producing a painting accordingly: "The process of working on commissions is very interesting and I find it very exciting, because a bond is established between the artist and the client. "Often, the reason that people request commissions is deeply personal, and the additional information they supply or details they ask to have added have such a special meaning, it creates a special symbiosis with them which is unique. I love it."

“I was looking for the perfect piece for my bedroom and I love Pascale’s work, but it’s so popular it sells straight away. So I decided to commission my own. I’m in love with the colours and style!”
