for the last time, but I hope you all remember the lessons and values you learned whilst wearing it.

Secondly, I will talk about the importance of embracing your identity. We are often asked questions about our future, but I think these aren’t really relevant if you can’t answer the bigger question, who am I and what inspires me? To quote the great philosopher Piglet, “The things that make me different are the things that make me.” Ms. Henderson has been a huge influence in me and several of my other friends being able to create a South Asian Affinity Group. It’s a place where we can bond over our love for our Indian cuisine, our culture, our history, our music, and our sports. As Coach Pat mentioned, over the last two years, we have been able to hold the annual Cricket on the Roof event, where we are able to share our love for our heritage with others. Thank you, Ms. Henderson. Lastly, I will talk about teamwork and how that can help you achieve more. In sixth grade, during Project X, I was in a group with two other people, and we were working on the project of the Greek gods. What made our project so successful was that we were able to recognize and play to each other’s strengths and weaknesses. One of my friends was an amazing artist, and so he did most of the illustrations, while me and my other friend did the writing part. So I’ll say to you, don’t build a dream, build a dream team. Last week, a friend of mine said this at his high school graduation, and I love this quote. “To me, building a dream team means surrounding yourself with people who will

Today, I’m going to share more about three important values and lessons that I will carry with me forever: the importance of kindness, the importance of embracing your identity, and teamwork. Starting with kindness. In Mr. Mundy’s class, anytime someone says a mean comment, which is mostly always a joke, Mr. Mundy will tell you to read the poster on his wall. It reads, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” I really believe that kindness is a core value here at CSB. Whether it’s recognizing individuals’ athletic abilities, spirit, or effort, or helping each other on a daily basis with homework, I see kindness throughout our class and also from our teachers. Shout-out to Ms. Juergens, who built the foundation for our class with her kind and gentle ways in Kindergarten, and to Ms. Decker, our librarian. Know that if you find any Alex Rider books in the library, Ms. Decker kindly ordered them for me to read based on my interests. And I will never forget how every time I walked into the library or saw Ms. Decker in the halls, she would always serenade me with, “All you need is Yuv, Yuv is all you need.” After a few puzzled serenades, I figured out that it was a very famous Beatles song. To Profe More, my Spanish teacher and advisor: Throughout this year, you’ve helped me through all of my struggles. No matter how unreasonable the task or how hard the problem
