motivate, encourage, and push you to be your very best self.” My dream team consists of my family, my CSB friends, and the CSB teachers, coaches, and incredible supporting staff. As a part of my dream team, I’d like to give a special thanks to Ms. Lande. In Grade 3, when I started using contact lenses, I would always struggle to take them off and put them back on if I had something bothering me in my eye. Ms. Lande was always there to help me, and she greets all of us in the morning with a bright smile on her face. She’s always eager to talk to you and learn about your interests. The impact she has had on me sometimes goes unrecognized, but I would like to appreciate that. To quote the great philosophers once again, Piglet asked Pooh, “What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever said?” And Pooh said, “Help.” Be brave. Ask for help when you need it, and help others when they need it too. As my speech and our time together at this school comes to a close, on behalf of my class, I’d like to once again express our gratitude for those who have gotten us to the point where we are today. To the Dean and Bishop of Grace Cathedral and Father Timothy, your spirituality, guidance, and humor have
helped us all. To the leadership at the school and all of the incredible teachers and supporting staff. Mr. Jones, we walked into this school at the same time. We’re the first Kindergarten class you’ve seen through to graduation in Grade 8; thank you for your words of wisdom, for your leadership, and I hope we’ve made you proud. To all the loved ones and parents in the crowd today, thank you for always being by our side and shaping this class into what it is today. So, Class of 2024, congratulations. Graduation isn’t just an end, but it’s also the beginning of a new chapter. As we flip the next few pages, I hope you never forget the lifelong friends and connections we have made here at CSB, because those will last forever. As we move to high school and shed our uniforms and replace our Cathedral blazers with oversized hoodies, we may look different, but the values we have internalized here at Cathedral School for Boys will always make us stand out. Thank you. R&G
