Professor of Ethnic Studies at California State University of East Bay and author of the acclaimed ethnography, The Coltrane Church: Apostles of Sound, Agents of Social Justice (McFarland), Dr. Baham is now writing noir mystery and detective fiction set in Oakland, California.
