MOVING UP, IN, AND ON

CSB FACULTY AND STAFF ON THE MOVE

CHRIS CORRIGAN is our new seventh- and eighth-grade English teacher and he has almost 30 years of teaching experience. Most notably, he has taught middle school English at San Francisco Day School for 15 years. While there, Chris served as an eighth-grade advisor and as the Director of Service Learning. Chris also has expertise in technology curriculum development and has held a variety of roles in this area, including the technology innovation and integration specialist at Marin Primary School. Chris brings a wealth of experience and talent to CSB.

ALLI DECKER is our new librarian. Alli holds a B.A. from Antioch College, a master’s degree in education from Harvard University, and a master’s degree in library science from the University of Rhode Island. She has 15 years of professional experience as a librarian. She served as the librarian at Mark Day School in San Rafael. Alli brings with her a lifelong passion for children’s books, knowledge of our library software and cataloging, and experience in teaching. Perhaps most importantly, though, Alli was Helen Huber’s top candidate!

CORD GREENE is our new Director of After-School Enrichment. Cord served as a seventh-grade history teacher and the History Department Chair at Antioch Middle School. Cord also worked as a first- and fifth-grade teacher, a basketball coach, and an after-school program coordinator. Cord earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from UCLA and his master’s degree in education from Cal State. Cord also holds a California teaching credential in social science.

LIZ JOHNSON comes to Cathedral with 15 years of experience working with children. This includes two years of teaching in Guatemala and another two years developing the language arts curriculum for a local non-profit publishing company. In addition to her seven years as a kindergarten teacher, Liz has taught first grade and second grade, science, and P.E. Her knowledge of elementary curriculum, therefore, is vast. As the new kindergarten teacher, Liz will bring experience, excitement, energy, and a passion for meeting the developmental and academic needs of our youngest CSB Hawks!

KATIE RICE JONES joined the CSB staff in December 2015 as our Director of Communications and Marketing. Katie holds a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin. She has held marketing positions at Target Corporation where she represented the company as their brand media spokesperson. Katie has also worked as the host of “Inside City Limits,” a Comcast show focused on California’s arts and entertainment scene, and she has served as the Lifestyle Editor-at-large for Pacific Sun Magazine . Katie is also an author. Katie brings a wealth of experience, and the School’s communication and marketing efforts have shown tremendous growth under her leadership.

AUZZIE SHEARD grew up in central California and just completed his bachelor’s degree at Pomona College in southern California. Auzzie has a long history of working with students dating back to high school when he was a Sunday school assistant. It was as an interviewer for Pomona College’s admission office where Auzzie developed a passion for building and preserving community. He got to see first-hand the importance of building a class where individuals can come together to make each other better. Auzzie is honored to be a part of the CSB process as our Admission Assistant and help boys develop their whole person.

STASA STRBAC grew up in Bosnia, former Yugoslavia, where she was a nurse. After coming to California, she held several accounting positions in the software and health industries. Most recently, Stasa was an accountant at HealthRight 360 where she gained experience in the nonprofit industry using some of the same systems as our business office. A nurse at heart, Stasa is a true nurturer and caregiver and she is delighted to be a part of CSB as our Business Office Administrator.
