MOVING IN PATRICK ALCASABAS, Upper School P.E. Teacher

Patrick Alcasabas joined Cathedral in 2022 as an Upper School PE teacher. He graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2012 with a B.A. in Communications and is a former personal trainer and group exercise instructor. Pat has been a PE teacher since 2014 and spent six years at the Brandeis School of San Francisco as the Lower School PE Teacher and Middle School Coach before moving to Cathedral. His passions include health and fitness, cooking, and above all else, Warriors basketball. NICHOLAS BARRETT, School Health Coordinator Nick Barrett joined Cathedral in 2022 as the Student Health Coordinator. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2021 with a B.S. in Biopsychology and a minor in German Studies. Nick spent much of his undergrad teaching children as a volunteer as well as assisting with and later directing research projects on visual processing and mental health. He completed his Emergency Medical Technician training in 2019 at the Bay Area Training Academy in San Leandro and has worked as an EMT at a detox center as well as a houseless shelter. He is also a registered behavioral technician. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, lifting weights, doing yoga, and pretty much any other activity involving exercise or nature. ERIN BOSTROM, Director of Extended Day Erin joined Cathedral as the Director of Extended Day Programming in 2022. Previously, she worked as a water polo coach and in digital marketing, and she currently moonlights as a spin instructor at a local studio. Erin graduated from the Dominican University of California with a B.A. in Communication and Media Studies with concentrations in graphic design and public relations. Outside of work, she loves to cook, bake, watch every new movie that comes out, spend time with her family, friends, and cat, rock climb, and run. DIANE CARBAJAL, 1st Grade Co-Lead Teacher Diane joined Cathedral as a First Grade Co-Lead Teacher, having previously taught second grade before joining CSB. Diane moved to San Francisco from San Diego in 2017 to pursue higher education, and she graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.A. in Psychology. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. During her free time, Diane loves trying new foods and spending time with her wife, Carla, and their 6 pets! RILEE HAKOLA, 3rd Grade Co-Lead Teacher Rilee Hakola joined Cathedral School for Boys as the 3rd Grade Co-Lead Teacher in the fall of 2022. Rilee received her B.A. in Child Development from California State University, Chico, and her M.A. in Education and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the University of the Pacific, Stockton. Prior to Cathedral, Rilee taught at Marin Country Day School in both the second and fourth grades. During her free time, Rilee enjoys long walks exploring the city, watching the Niners and Warriors, cooking, and spending time with her family in the North Bay.
