MOVING IN, UP, AND ON

STEPHANIE KASTNER, Associate Director of Development Stephanie joined Cathedral School for Boys as Associate Director of Development in 2022. Previously, she spent five years at Presidio Hill School, first as Development Associate and then as Annual Giving and Database Manager, and served as a volunteer mentor for Minds Matter San Francisco. A native of Seattle, Stephanie graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in English and Dance Studies. Outside of CSB, she enjoys traveling, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time in nature with her partner, Katie, and two dogs, Sophie and Juno. JUSTINE MOLINA, Upper School Math Teacher Justine joined Cathedral as an Upper School math teacher in 2022 after working as a math and physics teacher in middle schools, high schools, and educational non-profits around the Bay Area. She holds a B.A. in physics from San Francisco State University, where she studied and measured the optical and gravitational effects of dark matter on various celestial bodies. Upon graduation, Justine was awarded the Noyce Scholarship by the National Science Foundation, which funded her graduate study in Educational Research and Leadership at San Francisco State University. She holds a California Single Subject Teaching credential (Physics) and expects to receive her M.A. in the spring of 2023. A fluent German speaker, Justine enjoys hiking, running, cycling, traveling, and exploring topics in modern physics and mathematics. LISA MACAPINLAC ROCKEFELLER , 4th Grade Lead Teacher Lisa joins Cathedral School for Boys as the 4th Grade Lead Teacher after almost 20 years of working in education. After graduating with a B.A. in English and a minor in Asian American Studies from the University of California, Davis, she worked with underserved youth in the East Bay and in educational tech in San Francisco before completing her teaching credential at San Francisco State University. She taught high school English and Journalism for eight years before moving to early education. Outside of teaching, she is a dedicated wife and mom to two active Hawks and a Hamlin Lion, a program and curriculum coordinator for Bay Area Filipinx culture and ecology summer camps, and enjoys being outdoors, reading, cooking, and writing. ELISABETH SCHRIBER, School Counselor Elisabeth joined Cathedral as the school counselor in 2022. She holds a B.A. in Literature from Bennington College, an MFA in writing from the University of San Francisco, and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute, where she worked with elementary- and middle-school students in SFUSD. Prior to making a career move to counseling, Elisabeth worked for two decades in content development. Now that her twin boys are headed to high school, Elisabeth is excited to get to work supporting the kids, staff, and families at Cathedral. Outside of work and parenting, Elisabeth enjoys running, building things, and communing with family pets: a finicky corgi and rescue bunny. JONATHAN TALBOT, 2nd Grade Co-Lead Teacher Jonathan joined the Cathedral School community in 2022 as a 2nd Grade Co-Lead Teacher. He graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2008 with a B.A. in International Film Studies and Communication and holds an M.A. in Childhood Special Education from Fordham University. Jonathan moved to New York City in 2011 where he worked for a healthcare startup for five years before pursuing his passion for education. He taught at both Grace Church School and The Chapin School in Manhattan before moving back to his hometown of San Francisco this past summer. When he's not teaching, Jonathan loves spending time with his baby niece, cooking, and finding the right jukebox to play his favorite hits.
