CATHEDRAL SCHOOL FACULTY AND STAFF ON THE MOVE

MEI XUE, Mandarin Mei Xue joins Cathedral as a Mandarin teacher. Mei started her Mandarin teaching career while studying in Eastern Europe as a postgraduate student, and has taught K-12 students and adults. Prior to Cathedral, Mei was the Mandarin teacher at Katherine Delmar Burke School for the past 11 years. She is very excited to be working again with boys, alongside her fabulous friend Isaac. Outside of work, Mei loves plants, movies, trying food (especially desserts) from countries all over the world, taking long walks while listening to a good book, and exploring on her bike.

MOVING AROUND ANJALI HENDERSON, Kindergarten Co-Lead Teacher

After five years of teaching our 3rd graders, Kelli is now working with our youngest students as one of our Kindergarten Co-Lead teachers! In addition to having taught 3rd grade, Anjali currently serves as the faculty representative to the Board of Trustees, and she has served on several faculty committees during her time at Cathedral. Anjali holds a California Teaching Credential and earned a Masters in Education from the University of the Pacific, and her teaching experience includes two years at Town School and several years in SFUSD. When she is not teaching, Anjali can be found spending time with family and friends, reading, playing tennis, and exploring new trails and beaches. LILY ROSS, Development Coordinator After a year running the Extended Day program, Lily is moving into the Development Office as our new Development Coordinator! Lily is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University, where she studied Sociology, and from UCLA, where she obtained her college counseling certificate. She has 10 years of experience working with children and students, as well as 6 years of experience working in customer service in restaurants and retail. A San Francisco native and Convent of the Sacred Heart alum, Lily enjoys going to Giants games and hanging around the Embarcadero with her boyfriend, Ben, and her new pup, Deebo. KELLI SIMRIN, Kindergarten Co-Lead Teacher Joining Anjali as a Kindergarten Co-Lead Teacher is Kelli Simrin, who comes to the classroom after seven years of teaching our 2nd graders. Kelli has worn multiple hats while at Cathedral, including time as both the 2nd grade assistant teacher and co-lead, as well as a leader on our student backpacking trips, teaching our Upper Schoolers the ins and outs of surviving in the wilderness. Kelli holds a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and earned a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of the Pacific in 2017. Kelli continues to be an outdoor enthusiast, and when she is not teaching, she can be found backpacking and hiking through national parks, reading, traveling, gardening, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog Sadie.
