CLASS of 1999 Parker Barnes and his wife, Evelyn, just welcomed a daughter, Adelaide, into their family, joining their two year-old son, Matthias. Tristan Handeland and his wife Laura welcomed twins Caroline and Emma into their family last November. CLASS of 2000 C. Ross Dillon writes: “This June marks the end of my second year teaching middle school history at Santa Catalina in Monterey, where I will be returning in the fall.” CLASS of 2001 Armand Bedrossian reports that he’s moved back to San Francisco and has a private dentistry practice downtown. Christopher Crawford and his wife, Michela, welcomed their daughter Chloe into the world on May 10, 2019. CLASS of 2002 John MacGregor ’02 and Sally Johnson were married at Grace Cathedral on November 3, 2018, with musical accompaniment provided by our very own Choir of Men and Boys! CLASS of 2008 Jordan Gomes appeared in this year’s critically acclaimed film, The Last Black Man in San Francisco , playing the part of Stunna in the movie’s Greek Chorus. Michael S. Kreher is interested in a career in archeology and spent a few months in early 2019 working on a dig in the Golan Heights in Israel. CLASS of 2009 Devan Patel is entering his third year of law school at Notre Dame, where he’s studying constitutional law (partially inspired by Mr. Mundy’s Intersession course!) and serving as student body president.

CLASS of 1960 Edward T. Haas was one of the exhibitors at this year’s Maker’s Faire as part of the Sebastopol Maker’s group. CLASS of 1967 Charles E. McConney has been enjoying his retirement this past year by traveling around the country. He spent a few days in St. Petersberg, FL, visiting with classmate John Welch, and while in San Francisco dropped by the School for a visit, even spotting a younger version of himself in a photo in the hallway! CLASS of 1982 Jad A. Dunning was this year’s recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award. (See page 48) CLASS of 1983 Christopher H. Chickering Chris’ song “Then I Will Surrender” was nominated for the Song of the Year at the 14th Annual Posi Music Awards. CLASS of 1994 Alston L. Lew Alston writes: “I recently joined the firm of Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney last September in their San Francisco office after working several years as an in-house litigation attorney for an insurance carrier. I was chosen to moderate a five attorney panel for the national convention in Austin, TX for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association titled: “How to Become Insurance Panel Counsel & Tips on Ethical Issues Arising in Representing Clients”. The convention will take place November 6-10, 2019. I also recently had an article published by the Society for Human Resource Management titled “Are Noncompete Laws Like California’s Coming to Washington State?” CLASS of 1997 Jesse Kwai Kun Ma Jesse and his wife, Kim, welcomed twins James and Leo Ma into their lives earlier this spring. CLASS of 1998 Nicholas Fram and his wife, Victoria, added another member to their family! Elliot was born in October, joining his four-year old brother Peter. Peter Liu writes: “I spent the last 10 years working in Shanghai in the education industry. I did a stint teaching in the classroom and then was an early employee at an Edtech startup that recently IPOed. China has been a whirlwind of an adventure.” Peter and his wife, Nell, recently relocated back to San Francisco. Joining them in San Francisco is their son. Luca, who was born in July 2018.
