All hotel bookings made via CTM (Corporate Travel Management) accept virtual credit card payment. The single use, individually issued virtual credit card is automatically provided to your chosen hotel by CTM at the time of booking. Accommodation and any associated hotel amenities costs eg. in-house restaurant, in-room dining, parking and internet charged to your room during your stay will be covered by the virtual credit card.
1 | Booking A virtual credit card is issued to the hotel when booking accommodation. This is used to guarantee the room. The hotel receive an email from CTM with payment instructions.
2 | Check-in On the day of check-in the hotel receive a second email from CTM that includes the virtual credit card details. You do not need to provide a personal or University of Tasmania credit card to secure room. 3 | Virtual Credit Card Details The virtual credit card limit is the cost of the accommodation plus up to an additional 200% to cover incidentals. Download the CTM app to access a copy of the virtual credit card number (only visible on the app during your stay). You do not need the app to enable payment, however it can be used to resend a copy of the virtual credit card details to the hotel if required, CTM are also able to re-send the details.
4 | Check-out Advise the hotel that they have the virtual credit card details on file.
The hotel is required to send an itemised tax invoice to the email address provided on the Credit Card Authorisation form they received via email at time of booking from CTM. You as the traveller do not need to obtain a copy.
