PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications/ Education • Construction / Property / Estates management related master’s degree qualification or relevant experience in similar roles in an Estates environment. Professionals/ Statutory Registration DESIRABLE • Professional registration e.g. MRICS. Previous experience ESSENTIAL • Significant experience in an Estate Strategy role in a large organisation. • Project management experience including procurement of professional teams, cost forecasting and budgeting, value engineering and contract procurement. • Experience of project/supply chain procurement and management. • Experience of construction contracts, contract management and procurement • practices relating to project and service delivery. • Strategic planning including space optimisation, utilisation, strategic estate advisory services. • Strong knowledge and experience of contract management and procurement, cost management and budgeting and supply chain management. • Relevant experience working in a senior position for a large organisation. • Experience of reviewing Strategic Operating Plans and transposing an Estates supporting solution.

DESIRABLE • Clinical or operational NHS experience Knowledge ESSENTIAL • Excellent understanding of capital programme delivery. • Highly developed communication skills, with ability to communicate highly complex information where exceptional influencing skills are required. • Highly developed leadership skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams, and have them understand the Trust-wide and local performance expectations.
