Capital Projects - Procurement • Lead the commissioning and procurement of products, equipment, services, systems and facilities, as required for the delivery of the project. • Deliver and oversee complex recharging arrangements across multiple organisations. • To undertake procurement of and to manage external consultants, contractors and suppliers, Staff and stakeholder management • Manage engagement plans for project(s) to proactively ensure that positive and effective relations are developed and maintained between members of the team, all clients and key internal and external stakeholders throughout the project. • Development and implementation of noise mitigation plans. • Manage strategies to achieve acceptance, consensus and alignment of views, both formally and informally from senior managers and clinicians. • Work in a matrix management style and foster close working relations with other stakeholders. • Provide support and guidance to team members on all aspects of project delivery, including technical areas. Ensure that lessons learned are addressed and taken forward.

Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

• Represent Essentia at Trust management meetings as necessary. • Actively promote and champion the equality, diversity and inclusion ambitions of the Trust and Essentia. • Participate, and on occasion lead, negotiations with external providers and enhance the Essentia brand working in conjunction with other colleagues. Personal development • Ensure that the team professional knowledge is continuously updated and training undertaken if appropriate. • Participate in an annual performance review

project information management systems, ensuring auditable trail for all progress and decision making on projects. • Manage project team to develop, refine and implement project data collection systems that will provide accurate and timely data, including quantitative and qualitative data. • Responsible for ensuring data quality required by the project meets GSTT requirements. • Support wider review and development of existing project information management systems to ensure an integrated approach to project management. Legal Requirements • Ensure construction is delivered in line with current relevant H&S regulations, including the construction, design management (CDM) 2015 regulation • Appoint principal contractor, principal designer and Building safety regulation lead designer and ensure that all construction activities are delivered in a safe manger and compliant with BSA 2022 and CDM 2015. • Lead the implementation of the BSA in the project teams and represent the project teams in the BSA advisory group. Leading in the integration of the BSA requirements into our construction contracts and working with the Trust solicitors to implement this. • Lead on design and construction delivery in a way that is compliant with the building regulations, Health technical memorandum and RRO. The

Performance Management • Work within a performance management framework, ensuring that clear performance measures are in place across the team, and manage a process of continuous improvement

in relation to service delivery, identifying innovative approaches and best practice.

• Analyse performance across the Trust’s entire asset base in relation to performance targets and strategic objectives, developing strategies and business plans, providing advice in areas where expert opinion differs. • Be accountable, and hold staff accountable, for the delivery of all agreed objectives and outcomes for the Trust, Essentia and any external clients or partners. Ensuring that effective action is taken as appropriate, where performance is at risk of falling below expected standards. • Ensure that appropriate strategies, plans, delivery and implementation frameworks are in place to ensure that an excellent environment for patient care is maintained at all times, formulating and adjusting plans and strategies in anticipation of complex environmental and political changes. Corporate responsibilities • Be a key member of the team setting and delivering the long-term strategic estate development agenda for the Trust.

Other • From time to time, to provide support to Essentia colleagues undertaking other duties as required, which are consistent with the grade and nature of the post. The role includes work on special projects as they arise. • Strict adherence to departmental health and safety regulations and requirements. • Any other duties appropriate to the role. • Requirement to work at any other site used by the Trust, partners or clients. • The successful applicant will be required to work on site 4 days per week.
