PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications/ Education • A degree level education in a engineering / building fabric discipline or relevant experience. • Formal qualification in an engineering/construction/ project management discipline. • Post graduate management qualification. Previous experience • Significant successful experience in engineering project delivery for procuring and managing engineering and backlog maintenance projects in live, physically congested, high public footfall urban environments. • Strong knowledge and significant experience of contract management and procurement, cost management, budgeting and supply chain management. • Relevant experience working in a senior position for a large organisation. • Business management demonstrating sound commercial awareness. • A track record of delivering high quality customer service. • Budget management and analysis. • Experience of delivering projects within NHS • sector or comparable. • Track record of working on projects of a technically complex nature, ideally in the research / healthcare / science sectors.
Knowledge • Relevant technical knowledge to provide comprehensive leadership to any engineering or backlog projects. Skills & Abilities • A highly credible leader with the capability to motivate and manage external consultants. • Significant experience of driving effective results through a team. • Proven influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills operating at a senior level. • Gravitas in dealing effectively and the ability to assume the role of ambassador for GSTT in that context.
