NICOLAS TORACCA Nico is attending Pepperdine University. One of the factors in Nico’s college decision process was Pepperdine University’s amazing international studies program and he is looking forward to doing a semester in Florence in the Fall of 2017 or Spring of 2018. Nico’s family is very proud of the young man that he has become and attribute it, in part, to Cathedral!

NICOLAS MENCHERO In Nicolas’ senior season at S.I. he was named the 2016 Western Catholic Athletic League Receiver of the Year, finishing with 1,328 all-purpose yards and seven touchdowns in 10 games. He was also named to the 2016 All-League First Team, 2016 Mercury News All-Bay Area Team and 2016 Chronicle All-Metro Team. Nicolas now plays WR for the UC Davis Auggies.

Jimmy Santosa, Instructional Technology teacher organized a lunch with Luca Angeleri ’15 and Troy Mock ’11 to discuss the future of the robotics program at Catheral. He got some great ideas from these guys who are excelling academi- cally at their respective schools.

AMRIT BAVEJA Amrit has recently created an app for The Branson School. With the School adopting a revamped schedule, his app provides students the ability to stay organized while using their Smart Phones.

ALUMNI TOGETHER Walter Lum ’14 with Aaron Mullen and Will Jacobsen ’15 over the holiday break at the Head-Royce Tournament. Will helped the Branson Bulls win the Tom Welsh Holiday Classic at Head-Royce. The sophmore nailed a pair of clutch 3 pointers in the semifinal and final, preserving wins against previ- ously unbeaten Lick-Wilmerding and Head-Royce, in games which Jacobsen finished with 12 points a piece. Walter Lum ’14 is a junior at Lick Wilmerding High School and is leading the Tigers to a 12-1 record. Their only defeat came to Branson.

ISAAC FINESTONE Isaac of Lowell High and the Bay Area Warriors has committed to Oberlin College in Ohio for the 2017-18 year. Coach’s quote: “He has physical presence and does the important ‘little things,’ sets good screens, good rebounder.”
