Current Headmaster Burns Jones and former headmasters spoke at the celebration. We have included the transcripts of the various tributes to the School here for you to read and enjoy. But first, the words of Rev. Mehrdad Abidari, who kicked off the ceremony.
ON APRIL 28, 2018, NEARLY 600 ALUMNI, FACULTY, PARENTS, AND FRIENDS GATHERED AT GRACE CATHEDRAL for an anni- versary service celebrating the School's 60th milestone. Alumni choristers joined current choristers in the Choir House to practice the School hymn which was performed during the program. The celebration began with a procession through the Ghiberti Doors of more than 170 alumni representing the Classes of 1960 to 2017.

Let us pray. Dear God and Father of us all, as we are here to celebrate our 60th anniversary, we pray that this be, for us, a family birthday celebration. We pray that you remind us of who we are: that we are a school which, at our inception, was said is for boys from every neighborhood in San Francisco. And all people are children of God and citizens of a shrinking world. So today, 60 years on, as we look back on our journey and the road that we have
trod, and then turn our gaze forward to the journey ahead in a fast-changing world— the world out there, the fast-linked world of which San Francisco is a hub—let us not forget. Let us not forget—dear Lord—who we are and what has brought us here: That we are a community. We are a school where subjects are taught, and well. But we are a community.
That our boys search and explore meaning, purpose, and personal identity. That rituals of the Episcopal tradition, and every hallowed tradition represented among us, are celebrated. That we, in all our human imperfection and frailty, seek to become a caring, under- standing, and compassionate people. So, we pray dear Lord. Let us not forget who we are, and lead us evermore on this path. Amen.
