TWEETS FROM TAIWAN

COMPILED BY CHRIS CORRIGAN, Seventh- and Eighth-Grade English Teacher

During the 2018 Winter Break and through Intersession, Mr. Chou led an immersion trip to Taiwan for his seventh- and eighth-grade Mandarin students. Also joining him were Ms. Williams, Mr. Santosa, and Mr. Corrigan. Spending time in the cities of Taipei and Hualien, students and teachers explored the rich tapestry of Taiwan’s history and culture. With their minds set on being travellers rather than tourists, they participated in language classes, visited art museums, met with students, stayed with host families, sampled local cuisine, and learned ethnic arts and crafts as they dove into all the country has to offer. During their trip, the teachers reported back home to school and families via a Twitter account: @mandarintrip18. So that the broader Cathedral community might get a taste of this amazing experience, we have decided to share the Twitter feed from the trip. Learn about the Cathedral trip in 140 characters or fewer through our Tweets from Taiwan.
