EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT Terrance McGee, Head Coach, Men's Basketball
Wabash Valley College’s men’s basketball head coach, Terrance McGee, is currently in the middle of his second season, working hard to shape not just athletes but future leaders. Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Coach McGee brings over 13 years of collegiate coaching experience to the Warrior program. With a deep passion for the game and a clear vision for his players’ success, he’s focused on more than just wins— he’s building character. When asked about what he hopes to get out of his team this season, McGee said, “I want them to become better men, graduate, and be good citizens. Those are values I work to instill in them every day. I want to see them impact lives in a positive way.” His approach reflects a dedication to not only their
performance on the court but also their personal growth and future contributions to society. Outside of basketball, Coach McGee has a love for Mexican food and enjoys relaxing to the smooth sounds of R&B. His favorite childhood memories revolve around family gatherings at BBQs and Christmas celebrations, moments that have shaped his appreciation for community and togetherness. With his guidance, WVC’s men’s basketball team isn’t just learning how to play—they’re learning how to lead, give back, and strive for excellence in all areas of life. Coach McGee’s impact goes far beyond the hardwood, making him a valued member of the WVC family.

BEER BONES BBQ BRINGS FLAVOR TO THE WARRIOR GRILL
There’s a new reason to visit Wabash Valley College on Tuesdays and Wednesdays—Beer Bones BBQ has officially taken over the Warrior Grill! Owner Brandon Patterson is excited to serve up delicious, slow-smoked barbecue to both students and the local community. Patterson, who once helped in the Warrior Grill kitchen years ago, is no stranger to the space. Now, he’s back with his own scratch-made menu, offering a variety of flavorful options. While pulled pork and mac & cheese will be staples, other protein options and sides will rotate daily to keep things fresh and exciting.
“I’m looking forward to seeing students try the food for the first time and come back for more,” Patterson shared. He’s eager for the foot traffic and the chance to introduce Beer Bones BBQ to a wider audience. The Warrior Grill is open to everyone on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Whether you're a BBQ lover or simply looking for a tasty lunch, Beer Bones BBQ promises a meal you won’t want to miss!
