New Program Pipeline Process The provost’s office will oversee the progress of these proposals through the following process. Please attach this form with signatures and dates when preparing a submission to Curriculog and Board of Trustees for approval. 1. Conversation with the department Chair. When initiating this conversation, please notify the Provost’s Office so that you may be placed on the program pipeline spreadsheet. Date: ______________________ Signature: _____________________________ 2. Complete the Projected Degree Proposal Form. 3. Submit the Projected Degree Proposal Form to the Provost. Date: __________________ 4. Share the Projected Degree Proposal Form with the department Chair and department faculty. Initiate a conversation with College Dean. Date: ___________________ o Amend the Projected Degree Proposal Form if warranted. o Dean Signature: __________________________ 5. Present the proposed New Program to College Department Chairs. Ensure that budget planning is complete. Ensure that the environmental scan/needs analysis prepared by the Office of State Reporting and Budget Planning has been prepared. 8. Curriculum review begins/submission to Curriculog. _________________ 11. Curriculum revisions following Curriculog processes. 12. • How will the program impact enrollment in other CWU programs? • Program Demand (Industry/workforce demand; student interest)

All academic programs should be sent to the Provost’s Office for inclusion on the program pipeline list (including majors, minors, new specializations, and new certificates) but only programs which need to go to the Board of Trustees for approval need to follow the pipeline process outlined above. Departments proposing programs that add credit hours, specializations, etc. should be able to describe how the changes will affect student time
