seller, ADM (Archer Daniels Midland Company) in the transaction. The buyer was represented independently. “We are pleased to wel- come Liscio’s Bakery to this outstanding facility in Glass- boro,” said Mertz. “Moreover, we are thrilled that through our commitment to keeping business in New Jersey, and the outstanding incentives programs offered by our administration, that Liscio’s will continue to call New Jersey home and bring new jobs to our state.” This transaction repre- sents an expansion for Lis- cio’s Bakery, which nearly triples the size of its current manufacturing facility on Delsea Dr. in Glassboro. While considering a move to Philadelphia, the company was awarded $13.5 million in tax incentives by the Eco- nomic Development Agency through the “Grow New Jer- sey” Economic Opportunity Act of 2013. Liscio’s Bakery also oper- ates three retail stores – one in Glassboro and two in Washington Township, NJ. This new facility will primar- ily serve as its bread and roll manufacturing facility. The company currently employs 176 workers and plans to add another 71 jobs at this location. 600 Ellis St. is a 107,364 s/f single-story industrial build- ing located in Glassboro, just off Route 55. The building owner, ADM previously uti- lized the building for its co- coa manufacturing business, until closing its operations in 2009. The building, situated on a 40-acre lot, features 28’ clear ceilings, five tailgates, two drive-in doors, ample parking and a fenced yard. n
