Located at Two Hudson Place, the property overlooks the Hudson River and is situ- ated directly across from the NJ Transit Hoboken Terminal. The NJ enacts one year extension of Permit Extension Act NEWJERSEY —A one year extension of the Permit Exten- sion Act (N.J.S.A. 40:55D-136.1 et seq.) was signed into law by Governor Christie on Decem- ber 26, 2014 (P.L. 2014, c. 84). The legislation (S2551/A3815) was reported out of the State Assembly and Senate Com- mittees after being amended to reduce the proposed extension from an additional two years to one year, and was then passed by both houses and sent to the Governor. The legislation continues the tolling, through December 31, 2015, of those permits and approvals first covered by the terms of the Permit Exten- sion Act of 2008, under which the approvals and permits “in effect” from January 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010 were tolled. This “extension period” was subsequently amended to extend the viability of those ap- provals, first through Decem- ber 31, 2012, and then again through December 31, 2014. Please contact Meryl A.G. Gonchar , the author of this Alert and Co-Chair of the Redevelopment & Land Use Department of Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis , with questions regarding the Permit Extension Act or other issues related to real estate develop- ment in New Jersey. n
