People & Planet Climate Action At the heart of the Climate Positive Carbon Footprint Program lies a proven Employ-to-Restore initiative, which protects under-served communities by creating living wages for people in extreme poverty. What makes this possible? — the restoration of mangrove forests! This innovative strategy is what enables you to offset an average CO2 footprint by impacting ten of the major significant environmental and humanitarian challenges of our time! A Holistic Solution
Relieve Poverty GLOBAL CHALLENGES 8.5% of global population — about 700 million people — live in extreme poverty, which is defined as living on less than $2.15 per day. Last year the world lost 10 million hectares of forest. Tropical primary forest loss was around 3.7 million hectares, or 10 football fields of forest per minute. In 2024, atmospheric CO ₂ concentrations reached a record high of 426.91 parts per million . This is a 20% increase from 1990. Restore Nature Remove Carbon The Paris Climate Agreement mandates a global warming cap of no more than 1.5°C. This means emissions must be reduced by 43% by 2030 to reach net zero by 2050. Reduce Emissions
They also protect vulnerable coastal communities from rising seas and flooding. Mangrove forests are vital breeding grounds for ocean life & help restore fisheries. PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS Employ-to-Restore projects create livelihoods in such under-served communities. Living wages directly alleviate food insecurity & support human well-being. Mangroves store more carbon per unit area than any other ecosystem on earth. They sequester carbon at a rate up to 5 times greater than a mature tropical forest. All donors to the Climate Positive Program receive a monthly Sustainable Solutions educational series. It outlines best practices for low-carbon lifestyle choices to support a sustainable future.
