Our international trainee from the Basque Culinary Center, Sofia Puertas, has been completing her final internship with us — and what a journey it has been! As part of her graduation project, Sofia set out to identify a best practice that would enhance hotel operations and guest experience. After weeks of observation, departmental rotations, and gathering feedback through surveys, she concluded that one of the most impactful areas for improvement would be to boost cross-selling skills across teams. She chose to begin with the Spa Department and, with the support of the team, developed a complete learning program from scratch. On June 24th, Sofia delivered her first training session on how to increase Spa cross-selling skills to our Front Office team members, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive! We’re proud to see such dedication, initiative, and collaboration from our next generation of hospitality professionals. Well done, Sofia! 👏 Investing in People: From Internship to Innovation
