L&G Affordable Homes has revolutionised digital technology in the affordable housing sector with “Brolly”, a platform inspired by our iconic umbrella logo. This pioneering technology provides housing providers with end-to-end visibility, from deal signing to development pipelines; seamless customer onboarding and self-service issue; and property management onboarding slashed from weeks to under 48 hours. Powered by cloud technology and AI, Brolly centralises operations, tenant information and property details, enabling exceptional 24/7 customer service. Given the modern world we live in, you’d think this would be standard for Registered Providers, but we can assure you that this groundbreaking platform is unlike anything else in the housing sector. Since launch, over 2,000 accounts have been activated, with thousands of repairs resolved and direct debits set up. Brolly is more than just a platform, it’s a complete digital ecosystem, designed to simplify and personalise the homebuying and living experience.

THRIVE HOMES | CLUED UP WITH QR CODES!

Thrive Homes is committed to making life as simple as possible for its residents, and the successful trial of QR codes at its Parkside development in Garston, Watford, has demonstrated how Shared Ownership buyers can benefit from instant access by phone to information about their new homes. Placed discreetly on heating, electrical and broadband equipment, mainly in utility cupboards, the QR codes take residents straight from their camera screen to a useful overview video, with links on to more detailed information if required. From programming the heating to finding the stopcock, all the information can be found at a click, with no need to hang on the phone or search for a manual. And with no apps to download or personal information required, the QR code-based system is quick, clear and safe. The codes are also in use in communal areas of the building to provide fire and safety information.

TIDYWORK STUDIO | FIRTH VIEW

A collection of two, three and four bedroom apartments and houses outside Edinburgh, Firth View is a new development by Places for People, close to Scotland’s Firth of Forth estuary. The development comprises 93 open market sale plots; with a large number of new homes to market, off-plan sales are crucial to the success of the development. Needing a creative solution, Places for People appointed the only agency for the job: trusted supplier to the first time buyer sector for over 10 years, Tidywork Studio. Enter Tidywork’s bespoke system, TidySpace Lite. A truly immersive experience (think Google Street View, but for a yet-to-be-built development), the innovative buyer companion provides customers with a fully interactive 3D Street VR Tour and overview of Firth View. Buying a home is all in the detail – particularly when it’s your first. Elevating the application is Tidywork’s suite of superbly delivered CGIs and floorplans, seamlessly integrated to give the viewer the full picture of their future Firth View home.
