MSc BUSINESS ANALYTICS & ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Duration: 1 year, full-time

Entry requirements : 2:1 (or international equivalent) achieved in a relevant subject at Undergraduate level. We welcome applications from a broad range of disciplines, however the course requires demonstration of strong numeracy, IT and statistical ability. If English is not your first language, please note that you must meet a minimum overall standard in a recognised test. Why MSc Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence?

Assessment and modules Over three terms you will complete four core modules, alongside four modules from one of our new specialisms: Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics; Artificial Intelligence; Management Analytics, or; Marketing Analytics and Technology. Your studies will be completed by one of the following routes: ■ One elective + Research Paper ■ Two electives + Self-sourced Internship ■ Two electives + Business in Practice ■ Two electives + Analytics Portfolio. The Research Paper has two options within it: ■ A company-based project with a sponsoring organisation, producing both an academic Dissertation and a management report for the company ■ A piece of research which will see you develop more specific detailed knowledge in a particular area of business analytics Assessment will vary between group presentations, peer assessments, individual assignments and examinations.

Core modules for 2026 entry ■ Business Statistics ■ Analytics in Practice ■ Analytics Engineering, AI and Visualisation Applied Analytics Projects.

Artificial Intelligence Aligning with one of the most significant trends in the analytics space, this specialism would incorporate more computational elements and cover a wide range of AI and machine learning applications. In particular, this specialism would align to technology and retail/e-commerce roles which are both in our top five industry destinations already, as well as the awareness and interest in AI in business and organisations. ■ Algorithms and Optimisation in Software Applications ■ Deep Learning and AI Engineering ■ Generative AI and AI Applications ■ Advanced Data Analysis. Management Analytics This specialism emphasises particular management domains (such as supply chain and finance) as well as modern quantitative techniques. Given this, we expect the specialism to meet the needs of many of the most frequent industry destinations of students such as financial / professional services and consulting. ■ Prescriptive Analytics and Optimisation ■ Developing an Analytics Capability ■ Financial Analytics ■ Supply Chain Analytics.

Marketing Analytics and Technology The final specialism would be less quantitatively demanding than the other three, and would better prepare students for careers retail/ecommerce or marketing, as well as roles in technology, in particular those related to Generative AI. ■ Algorithms and Optimisation in Software Applications ■ Developing an Analytics Capability ■ Generative AI and AI Applications ■ Marketing and Digital Analytics. For 2026 entry, our MSc Business Analytics has been reviewed and relaunched as MSc Business Analytics with Artificial Intelligence. You’ll learn how to gain insights from large data sets using Artificial Intelligence (AI), statistical methods, optimisation and machine learning – and apply them to business challenges. This course covers cutting-edge and industry- standard analytical techniques, including visualisation (in Tableau), machine learning, statistics and optimisation. Gain a cross-disciplinary training in business models, quantitative methods and data science, and prepare for a future career in an ever-changing business world. This course will be taught through an exciting mix of face-to-face and online learning, utilising the format most suitable to the content, and in a way that helps you balance your workload and make the most of opportunities for extra-curricular activities.

Optional modules Our wide range of optional elective modules allows you to tailor your course of study to reflect the focus you want to follow. Alongside the core content of the course, you will choose a specialism route; Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics; Artificial Intelligence; Management Analytics, or; Marketing Analytics and Technology. On completion, you will gain a letter of acknowledgement from the Dean of Warwick Business School to confirm your success in your chosen area. Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics This specialism would focus more on the quantitative elements of the analytics discipline and suit students seeking a more technical role.
