MSc FINANCE & ECONOMICS

Duration: 1 year, full-time

Entry requirements: At least a 2:1 (or international equivalent) achieved in a relevant subject at Undergraduate level. Strong mathematics and statistics, or econometrics ability advantageous. We welcome applications from those with a Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science and Engineering background. Those coming from these backgrounds may be made an offer to complete some supplemental courses. If English is not your first language, please note that you must meet a minimum overall standard in a recognised test of English. Why MSc Finance & Economics? Discover how to apply your economics knowledge to finance with our MSc Finance & Economics. Explore the most advanced tools in finance and use your economics background as a springboard to increase your career options. You will be considering jobs in cities or capital markets of your own country, in areas such as asset management, corporate finance, trading, financial regulation, and economic and financial consulting and central banking. As the anticipation of jobs being challenged by Artificial Intelligence becomes a reality, we aim to share the skills and depth of understanding needed to design, develop, and supervise these new forms of financial intelligence. This course benefits greatly from excellent links to financial institutions and employers, as well as the combined approach of two of Warwick's most highly-esteemed departments in Warwick Business School and the Department of Economics. Assessment and modules Over three terms you will complete eight core modules, and two optional modules of your choice. Assessment of these modules consists of a mixture of project work and examinations. Your studies will be completed by your Dissertation or self-sourced Internship.

Internship This course offers the opportunity to self-source a summer internship, to increase your employability by applying your theoretical learnings to a real-world industry setting. The Internship module is an alternative to a traditional Research Paper to complete your course.
