Arch Learning Community For over two decades, the widely regarded Arch Learning Community has provided comprehensive support to students with learning disabilities, such as ADHD, auditory and visual processing, language processing, executive functioning disorder, autism spectrum disorder (with a learning disability), and other learning challenges, who would benefit from additional academic support while taking part in a traditional college curriculum without modification. Students will work within the Arch Learning Community to build the skills necessary to be successful in their degree programs. With a 95% retention rate from the fall to spring semester , Arch has proven to be an invaluable experience to those who participate.

Apply by completing either the Dean College application or the Common Application. Answer yes to the question that asks if you wish to apply to the Arch Learning Community. In addition to your application for admission, please review and submit the following: • Official transcripts from all schools attended (high school and college, if applicable).

ARCH AT DEAN A typical first semester includes: • Two college core courses taught by Arch instructors • Two Arch cohort core courses • O ne general elective • Three hours of one-on-one professional academic coaching each week • O ne Dean Career Advantage (DCA) course • S pecialized full-time success and career advising through the Arch Learning Community • P rep for Success Orientation Students continue to receive individual and group support in their second, third and fourth years while becoming independent learners.

Dean provides a variety of innovative support services that our Arch Learning Community students may utilize, including: Engage Program Engage offers tailored social support and skill-building opportunities for incoming Dean students. • Documentation of a diagnosed learning disability and/or learning difference. Testing must be recent (within the past five years), completed by a qualified evaluator. • Schedule and complete an Arch interview (in-person and virtual options available). SAT/ACT test scores are not required. We look for: • Full-scale IQ of 90 or above, determined by testing through assessments such as the Wechsler Intelligence Assessments (i.e., WAIS-IV, WISC-V), Woodcock Johnson IV Achievement Test or Stanford-Binet Intelligence Tests. • Ability to complete a full-time college course load each semester without modification. • Demonstrated ability to live independently in a college campus environment. • Readiness to actively participate in the learning community to develop individual learning strategies and to make good use of all programmatic and campus resources.
