HILLIER ™ Blue Waves Eryngium x zabelii

These unfussy, long-lived plants pump out beautiful foliage and flowers year after year. Vivid amethyst flower heads are surrounded by clusters of large, steel- blue bracts on top of tall silver stems, which are encircled by rosettes of spiny, grey-green leaves. This sea holly’s blooms make quite the statement in the garden; like a miniature firework display of flowers. Very drought tolerant, once established, Blue Waves thrives in moderate or even poor soil in full sun. Blue Waves makes an outstanding cut flower for home bouquets as well.
