ROBOTICS EDUCATION & COMPETITION FOUNDATION
Factory Automation Competition
The Girl Powered initiative is designed to make robotics reflective of the diverse world we live in. We’re committed to conveying how exciting it is to be involved with STEM, showcasing examples of how women are changing the world, providing tools for success, and enabling comfortable environments where all students’ confidence and abilities can flourish. We provide teachers, coaches, event partners, and mentors with resources to host Girl Powered Workshops which are aimed at engaging and educating young women about STEM and robotics. Girl Powered Initiative
The Factory Automation Competition (FAC) is a classroom-based competition that provides students with essential foundational skills needed for today’s advanced manufacturing careers. Students progress from education to workforce and by engaging in hands-on curriculum using the VEX V5 Workcell. The focus of this program is to offer a comprehensive and scalable competition that helps change attitudes toward advanced manufacturing careers, teach critical workforce skills, reduce the growing skills gap, and ultimately create a stable pipeline of employees.
