NOW WE GET INTO OUR 3 TOP SUMMER CRAFT BEER PICKS FOR

FRIG OFF! East Coast IPA | 3.56 Nine Locks Brewing | Dartmouth, NS, Canada | https://ninelocksbrewing.ca N ine Locks Brewing Co. of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia gets its name from the historic Shu- benacadie canal. The brewery like many of today’s larger craft beer companies started as a hobby, then grew into a small brewpub making great beer. Nine Locks Brewing was envisioned after many talks around a fire on warm summer nights about creating the best small batch beer possible, using only natural ingredients with no filtration, pasteurization or preservatives. So, it is only fitting that many of their beers are perfect for conversations around campfires, but don’t get us wrong they are also a perfect fit for the beach or when watching the game on Sunday. Nine Locks Brewing’s Frig Off! is a super hazy East Coast India Pale Ale inspired from New England style IPA’s. It has a light bitterness and huge citrus and tropical flavour that makes it a must have for your cooler any time of the year. STERLING SILVER Pilsner | 3.56 Town Square Brewing | Edmonton, AB, Canada | https://www.townsquarebrewing.com T own Square Brewing is a community-based craft brewery in Edmonton, Alberta spe- cialising in unique craft beers since 2017. As they say, it’s not the size of the brewery, but the product that it brews that counts and Town Square has some gigantic flavors coming out of their small brewery and they have never been afraid to step outside the box. In fact, that is exactly what they focus on. Town Square Brewing’s Sterling Silver spends months lagering in their tanks before seeing the light of day. But once released offers a clean, delicious, and infinitely crushable Pilsner that is perfect for patio drinking or just hanging out with the family, which gets it into our cooler and hopefully yours.

BLINDMAN RIVER Session Ale | 3.63 Blindman Brewing | Lacombe, AB, Canada https://www.blindmanbrewing.com C entral Alberta, in Canada’s west, is known for agriculture and oil. But more and more, it’s becoming the newest hot spot for the craft brewing explosion. Leading the charge is Blindman Brewing, a craft brewery located in the small city of Lacombe, just a hop-and-a-skip north of Red Deer, Alberta. Spotlight on Business Magazine featured Blindman Brewing in our February 2018 Issue (https://online.flippingbook.com/view/8717/36/ ). The brewery is named after a river that winds its way through Central Alberta and was founded when a couple of friends were looking for a career change back in 2015 and they have not looked back. Blindman gained an incredible local following which has continued to grow with beer drinkers in and outside of Alberta. Blindman Brewing’s Blindman River offers a super crisp and refreshing citrus flavour we are beginning to expect from a hazy session ale. It is well balanced and is very crushable after work, on the patio, or in the sunshine. Life is good when you have this beer in your cooler.
