We had the opportunity to chat with owners Olivia and Riley Giffen and take a deep look into the independently owned and operated dis- tillery in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. The town is located in the Stewiacke Valley at the confluence of the Stewi - acke and Shubenacadie Rivers and is known for being halfway between the Equator and the North Pole, the place in Nova Scotia where they discovered a partial mastodon skeleton back in 1991, even though it was unearthed in the Gypsum Quarry in Milford. Now the town is best known for it’s distillery. The doors to the original Coldstream Clear Distillery opened in September 2015 and today’s operation holds true to the original vision: to create, share, and enjoy the social experiences of the world through our exceptional spirits which is seen in their Original Lemonade ready to drink beverage. Coldstream Clear Distillery’s Original Lemonade is not your average lemonade, that is for sure. It has the perfect balance of not being too sweet or too sour and always refreshing whether you are mowing the lawn or relaxing in a hammock. It might not be the lemonade that Grandma made, but we believe that it is a must have and that is how it made its way into our Ultimate Craft Cooler, no bones about it!!! We are incredibly grateful that Maui Brewing decided to offer this amazing beverage for our Ultimate Craft Cooler, we just wish we could get more now that it is gone.
