Bringing 'Shark Tank' to Fairbanks
AMA's version of "Shark Tank" was a new event at the convention in Fairbanks. Five young contestants answered questions about their interest and passion for mining, as well as pitching why they deserved to win two Alaska Airlines tickets. The distinguished panel of judges was Paul Manuel, Bartly Kleven, Lorali Simon, Zoom Szumigala and Rick Van Nieuwenhuyse. The winner of the shark tank competition was Veselina Yakimova of SLR Consulting.
