But I gained a new level of God's favor. Today, I have a new career, and I am using my nursing skills in multiple areas of my life. In fact, it was because of my nursing training that I was able to get into this new career. God is good! Third, I gained a new level of forgiveness and blessing. In Matthew 18 , Jesus tells the parable of the unforgiving servant. The story ends with some of the scariest words in scripture. v. 34, " And his master was angry and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him . v. 35. So, My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses. " God COMMANDS us to FORGIVE EVERYONE from our HEART , or we will not be forgiven. Forgiveness has not been an easy process for me to learn. But each time I move forward in obedience and walk through the process of forgiving others from my heart, I get more healing, more deliverance, and my heart gets more restored. Each time an old offense resurfaces in my life, I am getting better at recognizing them and asking the Lord to forgive me as I forgive them. As I grow in my ability to forgive, I am receiving more healing. The sting of the memories of the past pains, tortures, and abuses are being erased from my heart. Finally, when I chose to lay aside the offense, I gained a new best friend. The man I get to call my husband today is that relationship I chose to save. And that relationship has brought untold blessings into my life. CJ Moyer
