Make sure you take at least one thing back home with you to the people who can benefit from it the most. “Whether it’s the trade show floor itself or whether it’s the breakouts and the workshops, all are designed to make sure that they are consumed and put to good use back home,” D’Angelo said. Ongoing Education Part of AICC’s mission is the educate the industry whether it’s a box maker, a supplier or a machine operator. D’Angelo said they have upped their game to make their educational programming more accessible and easier to use. There are education opportunities for every level of employment, which creates additional marketing oppor- tunities whether it’s at the trade show or by sponsoring content on the AICC platforms. On the packaging education streaming site, AICC NOW, members have access to all of AICC’s online content with a search feature that allows members to quickly pinpoint their topic of interest. In addition to webinars, podcasts, whitepapers, training videos and more, the site includes content from Packaging University which offers more than 100 courses in English and Spanish covering everything from corrugated 101 to safety tips to how to use a measur- ing tape. “When you get subject matter experts from a supplier company working with AICC’s education staff and they put together a webinar that can have value for all of the AICC

While exhibitors go the extra mile to drive traffic to their booths with demos, one-on-one consultations, tech talks, give- aways and creative swag, Montague said show organizers provide exhibitors with a marketing dashboard prior to the show that helps them create customized banners, emails and social media posts promoting their booths with just a few clicks. “No design work is needed on their end, which helps many of our exhibitors who don’t have a dedicated mar- keting team or graphic designers,” Montague said. “We try to make it as easy as possible for them to share and pro- mote their booths ahead of the conference to drive that traffic and find those new customers.” D’Angelo said they try to make sure that all the pro- gramming is topical, useful, and impactful for the exhibi- tors as well as the box makers.
