If the schedule is constructed properly in a program such as MS Project, changing the arrival date will recalculate all dates prior to and subsequent to that date.
For example, assume a machine is scheduled to arrive on August 15th which we will call Day 0. If foundation work must be completed by August 15th and requires five days, and if conveyor prework must also be completed by Au- gust 15th and requires six days, foundation work should begin on Day -5 (August 10th).
