As en- vironmental concerns continue to mount and consumers’ frus- trations become increasingly directed towards large corpo- rations, brands are turning to product packaging as one way to reduce their carbon emissions and demonstrate their environmental commitments to customers. However, even when a truly sustainable packaging solution is developed and implemented, it is not always easy to effec- tively communicate the bene- fits. corrugated, consumer goods packaging and other printed pieces such as Point-of-Purchase displays in the super- market, etc. In many cases, the WKL used for top sheet is a coat- ed virgin grade because the coating and the virgin fiber provide a brighter, smoother printing surface that is often needed for higher end graphics.
