Back Again This Year
J im Hetzler and his fellow pinstripers will once again be back at the Quad Cities Nationals to raise money for two local animal shelters by pinstriping some auto- motive items for your man cave. The Pinstripers Charity Auctions will take place on both Friday at 3pm and Saturday at 1pm. The auction will be in one of the Exhibitors buildings, check the Event Guide for times and location. If you are a pinstriper and would like to donate something or do a little pinstriping, contact Jim at “Kicking Kolor,” phone number 563-260-2803. Quilt Contest
The Quilt Contest at the Quad Cities Nationals is open to both men and women quilters. There will be an area set up to hang all the quilts that enter the contest. Please consider bringing in some of your own quilts you put together and enter them into the contest and receive a special Quilt Patch just for entering. Two quilts will receive special awards one for “Best Car Related” and one for “Best Artistic Design.” All quilts will be on display in the Arts and Crafts building. Enjoy Live Music Feel free while attending the Quad Cities Nationals this year to go on over to the Stadium Bar and listen to live music and enjoy your favorite beverage. Plans are being made to have live music on both Friday and Saturday afternoons of the event. Great Selection of Arts & Crafts Quad Cities Nationals Women’s World Coordinator Stephaine Genova promises to have a great selection of local crafters from all around the four-state area. Exhibitors will have lots of different gift items for sale during the event. The hours will be from 9am to 5pm both Friday and Saturday.
