Anchor Environmental Sustainability & Net Zero Carbon Strategy 2023 – 2026

As part of supporting an active life, we provide and support access to green spaces and community activities in our communities and the active use of those green spaces. Active and sustainable travel will also be considered as part of engagement with our supply chain, looking at carbon reduction through transport and distribution. We continue to seek grant funding for projects which pursue these aims wherever possible, maximising social value through our supply chain to ensure that we work in partnership with other providers and through Be Wise services to provide the support needed. We will: • Hold and use fuel poverty data to inform our asset management and retrofit planning • Work in partnership with specialise organisations to signpost residents to and enhance access to local support • Develop a sustainable transport strategy and action plan to support residents’ maintaining an active lifestyle • Support and enhance residents’ access to and use of green spaces • Maximise grant funding for projects that support these initiatives. New Properties We require all designs for new homes to be include an assessment under HAPPI principles, which look at: • Space and flexibility • Daylight in the home and in shared spaces • Balconies and outdoor space • Adaptability and ‘care ready’ design
