Daniel Lang appointed head of renewables

Surge Heating & Cooling, part of the WRB Group, has appointed Daniel Lang as head of renewables - distribution and installer development. Daniel took up the new role in June and has been tasked with working closely with merchants to offer 360-degree support in renewable sales from design through to commissioning. WRB Group appoints Simon Foster

C&F Quadrant, a leading distributor to the heating, plumbing and white goods sectors in Ireland, has appointed Andrew Burns to a technical sales role. Andrew worked as a commercial plumber for six years before joining Bassetts, initially on the trade counter before moving into commercial heating sales and then estimating in its sales office. In his new role with C&F Quadrant, Andrew will build relationships with existing and new customers, boosting sales of products such as radiators, cold water storage and commercial heat pumps. Andrew’s appointment comes as the company embarks on a major rebrand to align with electrification of the Irish heating landscape, as well as an upgrade of its Dublin and Belfast branches. Simon Foster has joined Surge Heating & Cooling, part of the WRB Group, as head of technical services/ air-source heat pumps. Appointed to the role in May, Simon brings a strong industry background to the role. “My aim in this role is to ensure Surge Heating & Cooling is offering the best- possible technical knowledge and expertise for the design, installation and commissioning of our air-source heat pumps,” said Simon. “We also provide in-house training and offer technical support to installers of our renewable systems. “We are aiming for a bespoke package approach beyond supply- only for end users.
