Editor’s COMMENT An increasing focus on renewables Welcome to our bumper July/August edition. Alongside the latest sector news and features, this edition covers Bathrooms and HVAC. Case studies include the £40m Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre, a 10,500sqm Factory of the Future giving advanced manufacturing and engineering businesses access to the latest technology, specialist equipment and expertise. Across our profiled companies, the overarching theme is an increasing focus on renewables, with government grants already boosted in the Republic of Ireland and expected to come soon in Northern Ireland. Progress may be falling short of targets but is continuing in the right direction at least. Keep up to date with the latest renewable solutions by visiting Plumbex Dublin at the National Indoor Sports Arena in Blanchardstown over September 9-10. And entry is now open for the Northern Ireland Plumbing & Heating Awards, set to be held at the Europa Hotel Belfast on November 6 – see ps10-11 for details.
