REFURBISHMENT OF THE SALLYNOGGIN BRANCH COMPLETES A SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENT AIMED AT POSITIONING THE MERCHANT GROUP AS IRELAND’S BEST- IN-CLASS, ONE-STOP-SHOP SUPPLIER… Davies Southside undergoes revamp
Davies Group has invested in a major refurbishment of its Southside branch, including a complete overhaul of the façade and decarbonisation of the building. Gas heating has been replaced with a heat pump from Trianco, for which Davies Group is the Irish agent, with the installation also serving as a working model for trade customers. Transforming the exterior and energy efficiency of the Sallynoggin Road branch, the upgrade completes an investment programme by the Group, which also included modernising the trade counter and expanding product
displays at its Raheny headquarters. Established in Fairview, Dublin in 1933, the business moved to a custom-built facility on the Harmonstown Road, Raheny in 2003, opening a second branch to serve the southside at Sallynoggin in 2018. With over 40,000sqft of warehousing at Raheny, both branches offer a wide range of products spanning Civils & Drainage, Residential & Commercial, Plumbing & Heating and Bathrooms & Distribution divisions. Davies Southside features a plumbers’ merchant trade counter and large bathroom showroom stocking plumbing
and heating products, bathrooms, renewables, drainage materials and related supplies. The branch is supported by the group’s in-house engineering team, which provides technical expertise, system sizing and specification advice for products such as heat pumps, boilers, underfloor heating and commercial heating systems. CPD presentations can also be delivered to consultants and mechanical contractors. Peter O’Brien, Managing Director, says, “This investment reflects confidence in our growth potential. We’re having a great year so far in 2026 and are hopeful
