This year’s leadoff bull is as good as any we have ever offered to lead off our sales...introducing our 2026 leadoff bull, Schiefelbein Chairman 345. This truly unique breeding piece combines two of our finest bulls ever bred and raised on Schiefelbein Farms; Executive and Gable. He is powerful from top to bottom with his thick, wide top through his depth of body and abundance of rib shape all the way back to his impressively wide hip. He stands on a big sound foot with excellent foot shape. This easy going outcross sire has a big scrotal, is tight sheathed and is clean fronted. His EPD profile is phenomenal with 9 of the 14 major traits in the top 15% of the Angus breed. He ranks in the top 1% for several of these EPDs including an astonishing WW at 107, and YW at 191, along with his foot scores for both claw and angle and don’t forget about his $M at an amazing +109. His $C ranks in the top 3% at +368, his scrotal in the top 5%, ribeye in the top 10%, HP in the top 15% and top 35% for PAP & calving ease. His dam, a daughter of our $90,000 popular herd sire Gable, was one of our 2024 elite heifer donors because of her unique EPD spread and superb looks; from her feminine head and clean front end, through her long, deep body all the way to her thick, level hip. This 4th generation donor had a picture perfect udder after calving and possesses double digit calving ease, negative birth weight and growth EPDs in the top 1% of the breed for WW at +102 and YW at +177 along with a $M in the top 1% at +115 and a $C in the top 2% at +360. His granddam, a Woodhill Relevance daughter, Frosty Elba 4491, is a 2022 elite donor heifer that added good looks, a fresh pedigree and phenomenal EPDs. Her EPDs rank in the top 30% of the Angus breed in 11 of the 14 major traits. She ranks in the top 2% for $M and Angle, 3% for YW, HP and $C, 4% for WW and Scrotal & 10% for Claw and Ribeye. With her donor dam, Frosty Elba 148, being our 2020 top selling bred heifer that sold for $16,500. Her maternal sister is Frosty Elba 4301, our $46,000 record setting bred heifer that sold to Herbster Angus in our 2023 sale.
