This is our first set of calves offered from our new herd sire Duramax, that we purchased a couple years ago from Pieper Red Angus. We were looking for something that would bring some birth weight, a strong maternal line and performance into our herd and he has been doing just that. When we appraise the 5059 bull, we appreciate the bold rib and masculine up headed profile he possesses. He’s definitely one that’s going to add some pounds to a set of calves. For those of you that have followed our program throughout the last few years, the Asset calves have been one of our top selling sire groups for the last 2 years and for good reasons. One of the most notable characteristics he brings to the table is his skeletal structure. He’s definitely going to add some bone and performance back into his progeny. 5083 is wide chested, heavy boned, has a long stride and is surely going to add some pounds at weaning.

Jolyn’s favorite bull and is another new sire we used AI. We were in search of a Complete son that was out of a great cow and found one in All Around 232k, whose dam Bonne Bel 852 produced the $150K Captain 057 bull. This dark red fella is an eye catcher as you look across the pen and has great muscle shape and width of body and weaned off at 775 pounds. His dam 896F has a 364 day calving interval, a MPPA of 104 on 6 calves of which have been all bull calves so far but are happy to see that she will finally be giving us a Cadillac 3289 heifer this spring.
