Artwork Introduction Ozymandias presents a sculptural mass in deep blue tones, composed of intertwined bodies that appear to both emerge and sink simultaneously, creating a sense of frozen movement. Nelson Hernandez recalls classical ruins as well as contemporary accumulations of images and forms, evoking the fragility of the monumental. The flat yellow background contrasts with the density of the central figure, emphasising its illusory and ephemeral character, in tune with the poetic echo of the title, a sonnet by Percy Bysshe Shelley written in 1818.
