Haptic Ghost , 2025 3D printed in resin 10 × 17 × 2.5 cm

Yasemin Gunhos is a London-based artist and graduate of Central Saint Martins with a BA in Fine Art. Gunhos’s practice begins in virtual space, using a 3D model of the self to embody shifting characters and emotional states. Cinematic scenes are translated into sculpture, prints and paintings that explore intimacy at a distance, vulnerability through digital form, and the tension between what feels real and what is rendered. Sparse, filmic environments and personal symbolism examine the quiet psychology of space and the residue left when the body is simulated, re-performed and re-seen. Gunhos’s work inhabits the threshold between the digital and the tangible, creating spaces that are intimate, uncanny and quietly human.

Artwork Introduction

Haptic Ghost lingers between the tangible and the digital. It begins as a 3D-modelled self-portrait and is transformed into sculpture through 3D printing in translucent resin. Light passing through the surface casts shifting shadows, revealing a scene that never existed in reality and allowing the virtual to emerge within the physical world.
