Oyinloluwa S Ilesanmi is a British textile artist based in London whose practice centres on collage tapestry. Using vividly patterned Ankara fabric, Ilesanmi creates layered compositions weaving ecology, mythology and the psychological traces of nature. Expanding into immersive installations, the work envisions speculative landscapes that resist environmental decline, offering critique and refuge while reflecting on humanity’s entanglement with the natural world. Understanding the Three-Body Problem becomes an appreciation of life’s inherent fragility. Dawn breaks on Earth with a deceptive calm, blanketing us in a predictable serenity. But serenity is conditional. It lasts only until eyes open and are forced to reckon with the uncompromising light of day. Annihilation is the beauty of the Tri-Solar Day. A moment so overwhelming, so radiant in its destruction, that it becomes sublime.

Patricia Cheung is an artist who has studied Chinese painting for over a decade and now explores its contemporary transformations. Working with ink and brush, Cheung reinterprets traditional aesthetics within a modern context. Her practice seeks to create dialogue between tradition and innovation, sharing the unique qualities of Chinese painting while connecting personal expression with wider audiences. This work envisions vast mountains veiled by waves of deep cloud—an image long carried in Patricia Cheung’s heart before being realised during the Covid-19 pandemic. The two exhibited paintings are the final works in this series, created from an overwhelming sense of joy and freedom. They embody feelings unshaped by outside influence, following only Cheung’s heart—even in the choice of red clouds.

Paul Westcombe is a London-based artist whose practice spans drawing, painting and animation. His work, often combining intricate detail with experimental narratives, explores memory, imagination and the absurd within everyday life. He also creates cross-disciplinary collaborations, integrating visual art with performance and sound to expand the possibilities of storytelling. Bothy Ballads was a collaborative project by Paul Westcombe, featuring contributions and a live performance by Gusty Ferro at the opening. The installation served as a shared space for experimentation, linking physical and digital forms. QR codes connected to videos in which Westcombe transformed Ferro’s drawings into 3D animated spectres, while Ferro’s sound works deepened the dialogue between image, movement and sound.
