the flesh, not to Jews only but unto all men was He born. II. The Glorious Chorus. 1. “Glory to God.” Let there be re demption far more than creation. “On earth peace.” “The Prince of peace.” Peace reconciling the world to God, creation exhibits the Glory of God—so should all things. 2. Subduing man’s spirit of rebellion, giving him peace through faith. 3. Principles of peace between man and man. 4. Giving a peaceful disposition— Shepherds went to see for themselves, spreading the news. We should see and know for ourselves. Tell it to others. We should glorify God with our lips and lives. UNION WITH CHRIST All true believers are “joined unto the Lord” as members of His body (1 Cor. 6:17). Christ is formed in them (Gal. 4:19). They are dead with Christ, to sin, to the law, and to the world, (Gal. 2:19; 4:14). Planted together in the likeness of His death (Rom. 4:5). Crucified with Christ (Gal. 2:20). Buried with Him (Rom. 4:4). Quickened together (Eph.. 2:5). Made to sit together in heavenly places (Eph. 2:5). The members of Christ abide in Him, and He in them (John 15:5). They grow up together in Him (Eph. 4 :15 ), I ’ , They live in Him the life of faith (Gal. 2:20). They suffer in fellowship with Him (Rom. 8:17; Phil. 3:10). They share His heirship (Rom. 8:17). They will be glorified together (Rom. 8:17). And will reign with Him forever (2 Tim. 2:12). —Selected. THE SALVATION PROBLEM “The world is full of problems but most of them are man-made and es sentially unimportant. They do not be long to the eternal verities; many of them are petty side issues and not even en route to the great achievement. There is only one major problem in the whole world, and that is the salvation of the individual soul. We do not mean salvation in any narrow theological sense; we mean salvation in the largest and broadest human sense.” A writer in the London Westminster Gazette makes the above statement. He makes the confession that the “major problem” is the salvation of the individ ual soul,” although he would not limit it “in any narrow theological sense.” We don’t want a “theological” salva- (Continued-on page 578) “Good will towards men.” III.
