THE SHOW GOES ON 2012-13: Red Foxes Win ‘13 MAAC Championship The Marist women’s basketball team won its eighth straight Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championship, and ninth in program history, with a 72-48 victory over Iona. The triumph marked the 21st victory in a row for the Red Foxes. The championship total tied the all-time conference record held by Saint Peter’s. Senior forward Elizabeth Beynnon was named MAAC Tournament Most Valuable Player while junior guards Casey Dulin and Leanne Ockenden were selected to the MAAC All- Tournament Team. The Red Foxes had four double-digit scorers against the Gaels. Beynnon had 15 points, followed by Dulin and freshman guard Sydney Coffey with 12 apiece. Dulin was just shy of a triple-double with nine assists and eight rebounds. Junior forward Emma O’Connor added 11 points, and tied Dulin for the team lead with eight boards.
